On trips to public lands, we were struck by how vehicles make nature accessible while keeping it at a distance. We converted a van and an airstream into a camera obscura, which allow the landscape to be projected upside down onto the interior of the van, examining how what we see is impacted by vehicles. This collaboration with Meredith Laura Lynn was a part of our exhibition “Sight Lines” at the Wiregrass Museum of Art and was shown at University of Texas Permian Basin.
