13 (stars forming) constellations (the sun moves through)
The piece collapses the original US flag code, which said: “There should be 13 stars forming constellations on a blue field” with the zodiac (the 13 constellations the sun moves through). A coincidence in language is played with through using all of the star patterns from each version of the US flag throughout this country’s history.
